I was so much inspired reading these tag line "it's more fun in...." but not in the "Philippines"....

It's MORE FUN.... being used FOR GOD'S GLORY...

the HEART'S DESIRES of the Man after GOD's Heart

Psalms 51:10-14

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast mefrom your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvationand grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. 13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you. 14 Save me from bloodguilt, O God, the God who saves me, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

No one is righteous in the sight of the Lord (Romans 3:10). Those who were considered servants of God in the bible, those who live in righteousness also had their downfalls.

One of the best examples was David. Here are some of sins committed by David:

1. David sends Joab to besiege Rabbah (11:1).
2. David sleeps with Bathsheba who becomes pregnant (11:2-5).
3. David has Uriah killed (11:6-17).

But though David sinned, he has been acknowledged by the Lord as man after His heart. The verse above made me realize that God really looks at the heart. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart(1 Samuel 16:7).

Reading the passage in Psalms 51, I realized what were David's heart desire:

1. He desires A CLEAN HEART(v.10).

2. He desires A RENEWED SPIRIT(v.10).

3. He desires GOD'S PRESENCE(v.11).

4. He desires THE JOY THAT IS FROM GOD(v.12).

5. He desires SALVATION OF THE UNBELIEVERS (v.13).

6. He desires TO WORSHIP AND GLORIFY THE LORD (v.14).

I ended up evaluating my heart's desires and listed it on a paper. How about you? :)

GOD BLESS THE PHILIPPINES

It really TAKES A NATION TO BLESS A NATION.

Last October 28, 2011, the Jesus Is Lord Worldwide (JIL) had launched prayer movement called “God Bless the Philippines”. Bro Eddie Villanueva, spiritual director of JIL encouraged every Filipino to utter a short prayer of blessing our country every 12 noon wherever they may be.

“This is so that prayers of blessings may cover the entire country 24 hours a day, every day,” Villanueva said.

Every Filipino, regardless of religious affiliation, is encouraged to do two simple things: One, say a short prayer of blessing simply by declaring “God bless the Philippines” every 12 noon wherever he/she may be, and two, to log on to www.GodBlessThePhilippines.com to post a prayer.

President Ninoy Aquino was the very first to sign up and post prayer in the said website where he prayed "Dear God please make us instruments of your will."

Let us be a part of these campaign... Continue uttering blessings for our country instead of making fun and cursing it.

HE is in action

Most of the time, we complain why we experience such bad things in our lives- why we have to suffer, why we have to experience injustices, why those who do unrighteous things are those who are full., why wicked prevails as some says.

In this situations, we could not help but to ask why? In the book of Habakkuk, he has also complained to God.

"How long, LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? 

Or cry out to you, “Violence!” 

but you do not save? 

Why do you make me look at injustice? 

Why do you tolerate wrongdoing? 

Destruction and violence are before me; 

there is strife, and conflict abounds. 

Therefore the law is paralyzed, 

and justice never prevails. 

The wicked hem in the righteous, 

so that justice is perverted"

-Habakkuk 1:1-4

The Lord's reply was....

“Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly amazed. 

For I am going to do something in your days 

that you would not believe, 

even if you were told(v.5)"

The Lord is not blind that He could not see and he is not deaf that He could not hear. He knows all human plans(Psalms 94:9-10).

The Lord is just putting things, situations and persons into position. It is said in Ecclesiastes that there is time for everything. We do not know his ways but His plans for us are for our own good-plans to give us hope and good future (Jeremiah 29:11).

It is really hard to live in this world where offerings of flesh are just around, where the lust of the flesh and eye steals the true meaning of JOY and converts it to the enjoyment of getting what fulfills our wants or desires. Most of the time, we want to be carried out by these offerings, but we take confidence with what the LORD has promised or the covenant we have with HIM.
