Baby Worshiper!

Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
-Proverbs 22:6

I got so much fun watching this video... It's so nice to see children, even though sometimes they do not really understand what they are doing, it is really inspiring.

I remembered a preacher telling people that even though children are so naughty, at their early age we should bring them in church.

I realized, it could be one of their foundations.

Teen Drug Statistics

"for God bought you with a high price.
So you must honor God with your body..."
- 1 Corinthians 6:20

nsaima.wordpress.com

According to Gdcada.org/statistics (The Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse)
  • Drug use has gone down since 1990 but prescription drug use has skyrocketed among teens since then
  • Marijuana is the most commonly used illicit drug in the United States
http://www.featurepics.com
  • The risk of using cocaine is estimated to be more than 104 times greater for those who have tried marijuana than for those who have never tried it.
  • There have been over 7,000 published scientific and medical studies documenting the damage that marijuana poses. Not one study has shown marijuana to be safe.
    thedoctorstv.com
University of Michigan report on teen drug usage
  • Teen drug usage remains high for prescription drug use.
  • The supply of OxyContin (a commonly abused prescription drug among teens) is soaring. Sales of OxyContin, first marketed in 1996, hit $1.2 billion in 2003.
  • The FDA reports that OxyContin may have played a role in 464 deaths across the U.S. in 2000 to 2001.

As the Scripture says, we must not defile our bodies for at a high price, it was brought. The Lord has brought us at the price no one could afford.... the spotless and blameless blood of Jesus Christ.

Being addicted to drugs is one way of defiling our bodies. Many teenagers get involve in it day by day. Because of curiosity, too much burdens and depression, lack of parent's assistance and many more reasons, they are tempted to try it.

seaside SHOTS

When we had our meeting in Anahaw Beach Resort, I had a chance to roam around and walk in the seashore. Good thing I had my camera on my bag. I took some shots with my favorite subjects... "mga batang makukulit pero cute" (cute little kids).  Here are some of it.

These three were happy chatting and playing with these stuffs. They climb and jump and freely feel their childhood... It's really nice watching children playing and enjoying their lives.

I noticed this child who is alone, maybe a  visitor in  the resort. Maybe he wants to play with the three but he couldn't.
I remembered my childhood days when we use to ignore other kids we don't want to play with. That was too bad isn't it but a part of our learning.

Everytime I look at children, I always have some realization in my heart. How I missed that childhood days.

Youth generation, as prophesied by Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj, will be the next army of God and that generation is our generation.

Truly, today, many youth become active in church and in seeking and knowing God.

Life isn't the same as it is before. Whenever I look back at the old times, I couldn't imagine how God has brought many of us in His track. We had many directions, we had no care of what is to happen but only care for what will be the next gimik or what. There were many hooked decisions-those that brought some into situations no one has ever expected. But because of His love, everything has changed.

Give Someone a Hug Today

The Hug!

It's wonderous what a hug can do.
A hug can cheer you when you're blue.
A hug can say, "I love you so,"
Or, "Gee, I hate to see you go."
A hug is, "Welcome back again."
And, "Great to see you! Where've you been?"

A hug can soothe a small childs pain,
and bring a rainbow after rain.

The hug! There's just no doubt about it-
we scarcely could survive without it!
A hug delights and warms and charms.
It must be why God gave us arms.

A hug can break the language barrier,
and make your travels so much merrier.
No need to fret about your store of 'em,
the more you give, the more there's more of 'em.
So stretch those arms without delay
and give someone a hug today!

Bone Marrow for My Brother

While browsing http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org, I have read an inspiring story about this children. So nice that at their early age, they are able to inspire everyone.

When William was diagnosed with a deadly disorder at age 3, his big brother Charles, then 7, gave his bone marrow to save him. Charles comforts William in his hospital bed the day before the transplant. Charles’ incredible love and generosity saved William’s life. To William, Charles will always be his hero.

I am very amazed with story of this brothers. While some families are being broken because of misunderstanding, envy and greed, some are doing their best not to lose one.

As I looked at the picture of these children, I felt joy within my heart. I also felt sad because of the situation but then I could bot help myself but be joyful. As little children, they could already show their love for each other-pure love.

As far as I know, it is very painful when donating bone marrow, but because of the love of this child to his brother, he didn't think of it.

What Matters Most for the HEART?

Just last fieldtrip in  Manila, I had bought a book which has a title of "What Matters Most for the Heart?". This book is such an amazing one, which expresses real life situations with bible verses that really enrich the heart of the reader.

One day, after reading the book, I noticed that I have put my money and some of my things above my bible and something stroked in my heart. Then I arranged my things this way:

I have realized that most of the time, many of us put money and time over God. We always worry about it everyday, where to get money to buy food, clothing, to pay rentals and so many bills. Our time is being stolen by these worries and we even don't have time for Him wherein, the Lord has promised us in Matthew 6:25-27

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"

This is such an amazing promise from God and this we should do:

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." - Matthew 6:33

The best thing we should put things this way:

Let us put God over everything and surely, worrying has no place on our lives.

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." - Matthew 6:34

There is but one way to tranquility of mind of mind and happiness, and that is to account NO EXTERNAL THINGS THINE OWN, BUT COMMIT ALL TO GOD. - Epictetus

Children and Poverty

People who are most affected by poverty are the children. I have read this in the site www.care.org, some facts or truth about children and poverty.

  • For every year of education, wages increase by a worldwide average of 10 percent
  • Educated mothers tend to send their children to school, helping to break the cycle of poverty

New Year's Resolution for Newborns: You can be a part

"In many communities around the world, children are not named until they survive the first month of life. Among all children, newborns have the highest risk of death. More than 40 percent of deaths in children under five occur in the first month of life. The good news is that newborn mortality rates declined over 15% last year. That kind of progress is achievable again this year with help from people like you."
- Save the Children ( http://www.savethechildren.org )

I've been in this site- savethechildren.org which visions a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation. We could take part on the top five new year resolution for the newborns which are:

  1. Eat Healthy Food.
There are few things more hazardous to your New Year’s diet than the afternoon snack attack at the vending machine. Instead of using those coins to get candy, put them in a jar earmarked for a donation to our Newborn and Child Survival campaign. You’ll be surprised at how quickly it adds up! In no time, you’ll have raised the $100 it takes to provide equipment for a midwife to resuscitate newborns. Read More
  2. Get Fit.
In January, gyms are packed, but by Valentine’s Day they’re practically ghost towns. Keep your motivation up by training for run, walk or other sporting event to raise funds for newborn lives. It’s a lot easier to stay on the treadmill when you think of the little ones who are counting on you. Here’s a link to make it easy for your friends to sponsor you or join in the fun! Read More
  3. Manage Stress.
Psychologists know giving to others is good for you — they call it a “Helper’s High”. Did you know you can help Save the Children carry out our mission just by doing things you would do anyway? Just by searching on the web, shopping online or socializing with friends? Here are some suggestions for doing good while doing your favorite internet activities. Read More
  4. Spend More Time with Family.
Watching our fun video series — “Dirty Words” with your kids. They’ll learn some valuable lessons and you’ll all have a laugh. Read More
  5. Volunteer to Help Others.
One of the best ways you can volunteer to support the needs of millions of children is by advocating on their behalf before the most powerful institutions in the world. When you volunteer to be their voice, you help make it possible for children’s issues to be heard by world leaders. Read More
Many children in the world need our help. Let's be a part.

most AWAITED!

"Everything has its own time, and there is a specific time for every activity under heaven: a time to be born....[Ecclesiastes 3:1-2]"

Ceyana Zofeya Ysabel

December 21, 2011, when  Tatay Don and Tita Cel and the whole family's  most awaited person came.  Not a famous artist or personality but an answered prayer - Baby Ceyana Zofeya Ysabel.

For so long and after many many pain suffered from losing their first 2 children before having birth, here comes the most AWAITED. Truly God has perfect time. A beautiful baby girl was born and that was God's best gift to my tito and tita.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you
Though tita Cel have to stay the whole period of pregnancy in the hospital , what matters most is that the two of them were safe. I heard, when Ceyana was about to be born, almost everybody in the hospital was waiting. We just can see her through videos and pictures in the internet because we are not able to visit them in Manila. Can't wait to see her. :)

life at HOME

Fish pond near the little nipa hut
Whenever I look at the pictures like this, I could not help but miss the time when I will wake up without any thoughts of lot of works ahead. These busy days have isolated me in our apartment, far from this place.

I remember, I have hard time stepping down of this place which is too high... Our place is mountainous. But I really enjoy whenever I am here. I could witness the beautiful wide field, a place where I could escape the pollution in the city. It's nice to breath cool fresh air here.
while feeding the fish... hehehe
I know after all of these plenty of works, I'll be able to do it again.
